An exhibition of BIB’s 50-year history and the works of previous Grand Prix winners.

Biennial of Illustration Bratislava, commonly known as BIB, has a 50-year old history and is the one of the oldest and most prestigious international competitions for children’s and juvenile book. BIBIANA, International House of Art for Children, is the chief organizer for BIB.

BIB is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and is held biennially in odd numbered years.

Nami Island, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIBIANA, International House of Art for Children in 2016. The memorandum agreed for both parties to establish partnership to contribute to the advancement of quality of picture book illustrations

and to hold exchange exhibitions of winning works in 2017. Grand Prix BIB 1967-2015: Biennial of Illustration Bratislava, Slovakia,

the first exhibition exchange is held on Nami Island as one of the programs of NAMBOOK-017.

Grand Prix BIB 1967-2015: Biennial of Illustration Bratislava, Slovakia shines a spotlight on numerous prize-winning works;

featuring award winning illustrations of Grand Prix winners from its 50-year history, award winning illustrations in 2015, and award winning illustrations of winners from Korea. This exhibition is accompanied with hands-on activity programs for children to develop creativity and imagination.
